Hill Street Family Resource Centre - Lunar New Year 2025

Share

The highly anticipated Hill Street Family Resource Centre Lunar New Year Community celebration returns for its eleventh year on Sunday, 2nd February 2025 from 2pm. This family free event is brought to you by Hill Street Family Resource Centre in collaboration with the North East Inner City Initiative and Dublin City Council.

Hill Street Family Resource Centre’s Lunar New Year Community Celebration sees Dublin 1 transformed into a wonderland of colour and activity; there is something for everyone with performances of traditional music and dance, workshops in Tai Chi, Origami and Calligraphy, and games and face painting for children, all brought together in a celebration of South East Asian Culture. The Year of the Snake represents wisdom, elegance and transformation.

Eileen Smith, CEO of HSFRC, is thrilled to be involved in the Lunar New Year Community Celebration on Hill Street, once again this year.

“It’s wonderful to celebrate the Lunar New Year for our eleventh year running, each year it gets bigger and better than the last! It’s a testament to our staff, volunteers and neighbours, who have put in countless hours of preparation into our Community Celebration over the past few months.”

The HSFRC Lunar New Year Community Celebration is a colourful and fun day of food, art, music and culture, with live onstage performances from 2pm to 7pm, Sunday 2nd February, on Hill Street in Dublin 1.

The 2025 Lunar New Year Community Celebration is organised by Hill Street Family Resource Centre, funded by the Government under the North East Inner City Initiative as part of its annual programme of community events, and is supported by Dublin City Council.
